Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

Many people are unaware there are different types of Breast Cancer.

Triple-negative breast cancer does not have any of the receptors that are commonly found in Breast Cancer.

Think of Cancer cells as a house with 3 doors (receptors) - Estrogen, Progesterone and HER2 (human epidermal growth factor). If your Cancer has any of these doors in your house, doctors have a few keys they can use to open these doors & kill the Cancer Cells.

If you are diagnosed as triple-negative it means those doors are not there.

We have fewer treatment options but we have triple the anxiety and triple the fear. Fortunately, for the very lucky of us chemotherapy can still be an effective option.
